What we collect
We record anonymous, categorical usage events such as which type of moment and gesture mode was selected, whether a result was copied and whether it was marked useful. A random browser-session journey identifier lets us understand where the four-step finder loses people; it is not tied to an account, IP address, name or note and is not used for advertising. We do not store names, free-text notes or account profiles. A generated result may be cached only when no name, custom situation or free-text note was supplied, so the same anonymous request does not need another paid AI call.
Optional personal details
A two- or three-word situation, first name or short note can be used transiently to shape your result. It is sent to our text-generation provider only when that feature is enabled and the context is suitable; it is not written to our analytics database. The finder still works from curated suggestions if the provider is unavailable.
Technical records
Our hosting provider may retain normal server logs, including IP address, user agent and requested URL, for security and reliability. When available, Cloudflare’s country code is used only to choose a UK or US shop list; the IP address and country are not sent to our text-generation provider or stored in gift analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Independent shops
When you open a shop link, you leave MoodRaisers and that merchant applies its own privacy and cookie policy. We do not place your name, note, generated wording or situation in the merchant URL.
Your choices
You can use the site without an account and without entering any personal details. Avoid sharing sensitive medical, financial or identifying information in the optional note.
